Kevin Walsh Will Try to Turn Hat Trick in His Third Pro Boxing Bout of 2021

Windham, NH [September 13, 2021] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that popular Brockton, Massachusetts lightweight Kevin Walsh (2-0, 2 KO’s) will return to the ring on Friday, September 24th at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire to take on Puerto Rico veteran fighter Celiel Castillo in a four-round bout.

Walsh turned pro earlier this year, competing on a Boston Boxing Promotions card during the pandemic era in an empty arena. That fight was live streamed on YouTube. Most recently, last July, Walsh fought on a Boston Boxing Promotions card in front of a frenzied audience. Many fans from his hometown of Brockton were in attendance. They hope Walsh can someday add credentials to the city’s moniker “City of Champions” after natives Rocky Marciano and Marvelous Marvin Hagler won world titles in their respective Hall of Fame careers. Walsh finished both of his first professional opponents in the first round.

“Fighting for the first time in front of a big crowd like that was amazing, but it’s just the beginning,” said Walsh of his second pro fight last July. “Celiel Castillo is standing in front of me on September 24th, and it’s either him or me, and I plan on leaving with my hand raised. I can’t wait.”
