Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that Haverhill, Massachusetts’ 𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐘 𝐓𝐄𝐉𝐀𝐃𝐀 (9-0-1, 6 KO’s) will be back in the ring at the 7th Annual Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular on Wednesday, November 27th at the DoubleTree in Andover, MA in an 8 Round Super Lightweight bout against 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐎 𝐌𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐈 (14-8, 4 KO’s).

Just last month, Tejada earned the New England Welterweight Championship with a career best performance scoring a third round TKO over Tyngsboro’s Nate Balakin.

This fight will mark Tejada’s return to the 140-pound weight class, where he fought in July winning a unanimous decision over New York’s Javier Torres.

“I did that fight at welterweight because I felt I had unfinished business with Balakin after our draw last year, but I want to campaign at 140 pounds from here on out where I’ve fought before,” said Tejada. “I’m looking forward to taking on someone the caliber of Mignoni whose fought against some of the world’s best.”

Lucas Alejandro Mignoni is the most experienced opponent Tejada has faced to date. He’s been described as a ‘gatekeeper’ for young fighters looking to earn prospect status. His most recent opponents include Lowell’s Nick Molina (15-1, 6 KO’s), Connecticut’s William Foster III (17-2, 11 KO’s), and Devin Cushing (14-0, 10 KO’s). He brings a lifetime of boxing knowledge and tricks of the trade that Tejada will likely be seeing in competition for the first time.
