Boston Boxing Promotions Postpones Event Due to Pandemic; New Date Announced

Windham, NH [April 28, 2020] – Boston Boxing Promotions has postponed its next professional boxing event originally scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2020, due to public health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.  The new date for the event will be Friday, August 14, 2020, at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.  Doors are scheduled to open at 7 pm with first fight at 8 pm.

“It was unfortunate that it came to this,” noted Boston Boxing Promotions President Peter Czymbor, “but we felt it was the best decision we could make at this time taking the health of our fans, fighters, staff, and officials into consideration.  We have been following along with (New Hampshire) Governor (Chris) Sununu’s press briefings, and while public gatherings of our size are prohibited at the moment, there has been no indication to date that those restrictions will be lifted by June 5^th.”

All tickets already purchased with the June 5 date printed on them will be honored at the door on August 14.  If fans cannot attend on the new date, they should contact their point-of-purchase (either a fighter or the promotion) to request a full refund.  All online ticket purchasers were contacted via email earlier today with instructions on requesting a refund.

“We certainly hope all of our fans, fighters, and friends remain safe and healthy during this difficult time,” continued Czymbor.  “We also hope that we will see everyone on August 14 in Windham.”
