FALL RIVER NATIVES CUSICK & KIM TO BATTLE IN THE RING

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fall River, MA (August 16, 2023) – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced another Fall River clash for the September 16 fight card as Kyle Cusick (4-3, 1 KO) meets Johnny Kim in a 4-round middleweight fight. Cusick, Fall River born & bred, will be fighting in his hometown for the first time as a professional. He last fought in Fall River as an amateur in the 2010 Southern New England Golden Gloves. 

“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to be able to compete in my hometown. When I signed my promotional deal with Peter (Czymbor, Boston Boxing Promotions President) two and a half years ago he promised this show would come to fruition and he delivered,” said Cusick.

“Johnny’s a tough competitor who I know will be coming to fight,” Cusick continued. “It’s a dream come true to be able to compete in the same ring and venue as a pro that I competed in the Golden Gloves 13 years ago. I know the place will be packed and I can’t express enough gratitude for the support of my friends and family.”

Johnny Kim, also born in Fall River, will be fighting in his hometown for the first time as well after having previously fought in New Hampshire.

“Fall River was where I was born and raised, and I am very excited to be able to compete on the same card as a few of my former teammates,” said Kim. “I’ve always wanted to become a professional fighter as far back as I can remember and it’s surreal to be competing in the city the dream began with some of the people I came up with.”

“Fall River Brawl” will take place on Saturday, September 16. Doors will open at 6 pm at the Fall River PAL with first fight at 7 pm. Tickets are on sale now at www.BostonBoxingPromotions.com.
