Johnson to make pro debut

Providence heavyweight Franklin Johnson will be making his pro debut on Friday, February 13th at Bernardo’s Event Center at 403 Anawan Street in Fall River, Massachusetts as he takes on upset specialist Max Da Silva in a 4-round bout.

Johnson makes his pro debut following a multi-sport amateur career that saw him earn Mighty Man Stand-up Series titles in kickboxing and the Trident Title Tournament in boxing.

Da Silva has gone 3-3 in his last 12 months of boxing against stellar opposition with a combined record of 12-3-1, 8 KO’s. His most recent performance was a 2nd round TKO of Sione Tu’Ukofe Finau on Thanksgiving Eve.
