LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT HAS ALL THE MAKINGS OF A REAL CROWD PLEASER ON WINDHAM BOXING EVENT
Windham, NH [March 13, 2018] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a 4 round light heavyweight fight between Boston’s Julio Perez Campusano (1-0, 1 KO) and Schenectady, New York’s Eric Abraham (2-2) to take place on Saturday, April 28 at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.
This fight has been added to a card already featuring a welterweight bout between Haverhill’s “Irish” Tommy O’Connell (1-0) and Maine’s Bruce Boyington (1-0) and a heavyweight matchup between New Jersey’s Brendan Barrett (6-0-2, 5 KO’s) and Boston’s Tracey Johnson (4-6-4).
“I’m excited to be fighting at the Castleton again. Last time the atmosphere was electric, the crowd was the best, and I was satisfied with my victory,” said Campusano.
“On April 28th, I’ll be ready for a war. Blood, knockdowns, a crazy fight – I’ll be ready for it all, and I’m sure my opponent will be too.”
Campusano made his pro debut in Windham in January, needing less than 90 seconds to score a knockout win over Woburn’s Rene Nazare. Abraham, a naturally bigger man who has fought as heavy as cruiserweight, was present that night and has no problem coming to New Hampshire for a fight. In his most recent bout, he won a six-round unanimous decision over fellow New Yorker Damian Lewis last September.
“I’m excited about getting back in the ring after seven months off and showing the progress I’ve made in the gym,” said Abraham.
“I’m excited about fighting Campusano as well. I was at his last fight in New Hampshire, and I think he’s a decent fighter. The venue was great, and the fans brought a lot of energy and excitement into the building. I predict our fight will be the fight of the night.”
