SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT COULD STEAL THE SHOW AT WINDHAM BOXING EVENT
Windham, NH – [January 8, 2019] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a four-round super featherweight fight between Orange, New Jersey’s Malcolm Simms and Fall River, Massachusetts’ Henry Garcia. It is scheduled to take place on January 25, 2019 at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire as part of the fight promotion’s “Friday Night Fights” card.
“This is an evenly matched fight between two of the region’s toughest fighters below 130 pounds,” said Boston Boxing Promotions President Peter Czymbor. “It wouldn’t surprise me if this fight steals the show.”
Malcolm Simms, trained by John Thompson, Sr., has fought twice on Boston Boxing Promotions shows. In 2016, he made his pro debut fighting to a draw with the vastly more experienced Jonathan Perez of Lowell, Massachusetts. Recently, he scored a 1st round TKO in his New Hampshire debut at The Castleton and earned himself many new fans impressed with his performance.
“Me and my team are working hard. We’re going to do what we gonna do. We’re coming out there to dominate and win,” said Simms.
Simms splits his time training for boxing with his regular job as a patrolman at the Orange Police Department in New Jersey.
Henry Garcia trains with Israel Garcia in Fall River, Massachusetts. He has an amateur career that spanned 23 fights prior to turning pro. He works a day job as a the Assistant Superintendent at the Country Club of New Bedford.
“We’re training for a tough fight against a tough opponent. We’re training to come up to New Hampshire and come home with a win,” said Garcia.
