Wabik Gets New Opponent for Windham Boxing Event

Windham, NH – [March 22, 2019] – In wake of Maryland’s Jennier Norris pulling out of her scheduled fight with Kimberly Wabik citing a knee injury, Ohio’s Crystal Byers has now stepped in and will fight Revere, Massachusetts’ Wabik in a four-round super lightweight bout on Friday May 31st at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.

“Things happen, but I am happy Crystal Byers stepped up to the plate,” said Wabik.  “She seems like a very strong and determined opponent, and I will treat this as my biggest battle to date.”

Byers is an accomplished combat sports athlete in boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts. She also is a competitive bodybuilder.

“I don’t really know much about Kimberly Wabik, but I always train for the best,” said Byers.  “I’m thankful for this opportunity and look forward to a good fight.”
