Welterweight Fight Announced for May 31 in Windham, NH Features Two Bay State Favorites
Windham, NH – [March 11, 2019] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a four-round welterweight fight between Haverhill’s Harry “The Hitman” Gigliotti (1-0, 1 KO) and Fall River’s Kris Jacobs (0-0-1) on Friday May 31st at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.
Gigliotti made his pro debut this past January in Windham and needed just 43 seconds to dispose of Providence’s Theo Desjardin en route to a TKO victory. The all-action Gigliotti put out an incredible amount punches for such a short fight.
Kris Jacobs is the owner of the Stay Ready Boxing & Fitness Gym in Fall River, Massachusetts. Always in incredible shape, a ripped Jacobs, following a brief amateur career, made his pro debut in Rhode Island last September fighting to a draw against the rugged Andy Aiello.
“I’ve watched videos on Jacobs and he is definitely a competitor,” said Gigliotti, “but they call me ‘The Hitman’ for a reason, and I’m here to run business and stop anyone that gets in my way.”
Kris Jacobs seems just as self assured when discussing this upcoming fight.
“I love New Hampshire personally, so I’m looking forward to being there,” said Jacobs.
“In my pro debut, I fought at 140 pounds and I didn’t feel 100%, so I’m looking forward to competing at 147 pounds against Harry Gigliotti. I’m as confident as ever, and this is just another day on the job for me. I’ll be ready for a fight and I hope he is too.”
