WOMEN’S FIGHT IS FIRST ANNOUNCED FOR WINDHAM, NH BOXING EVENT
Windham, NH [December 4, 2018] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced the first fight for its next event scheduled to take place Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire. Revere, Massachusetts’ Kimberly Wabik (0-0-1) will return to the Castleton to take on Florida’s Britain Hart (2-3, 1 KO) in a four-round female super featherweight fight.
Wabik, fresh off an entertaining and competitive fight that was ruled a draw against Springfield’s Liz Humphries in November at the Castleton in her pro debut, will be dropping down a weight division for her fight against Hart. In November, she competed in the 135 pound lightweight division. In January, she will compete in the 130 pound super featherweight division.
“I am stoked and honored to fight such a fighter with such significant skills and abilities,” said Wabik.
“Her background and experience show she is a very tough woman in the pro division. From this last fight, I’ve learned not to leave it to the judges. I expect a brawl from a very dangerous woman,” Wabik added.
Britain Hart, who now resides in Tampa, Florida, is a fighter through and through. In five professional boxing matches, she has fought in five different states and recently she competed on Pay-Per-View television in a resurgence of bare knuckle boxing against former UFC fighter Bec Rawlings losing a close split decision.
“I am more than amped to be fighting in New Hampshire as I am definitely a traveler and make it a goal to fight in all 50 states. This will be a first time there and my 7th state added to the list! I hope there are Boston Bruins fans there and I can win them over that way too!” Said an enthusiastic Hart.
“I am expecting this fight to be simple and to the point. Kim’s last fight was a draw, which is a good lesson to not leave it up to the judges. I’ve had that lesson learned the hard way as well with my last fight ending in my defeat by split decision. I am going to be in her backyard, so I plan to learn from my lessons and execute exactly that. No hard feelings, it’s business and my chance to prove that I have learned and have growth in this fighting style. My heart has been in boxing but now is the time to show why they shouldn’t take it away from me,” Hart added.
This will be just the second women’s fight in Boston Boxing Promotions’ history.
