Brendon Simonds Returns at Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular

Windham, NH [September 27, 2021] – For the third time in four years, Haverhill, Massachusetts’ Brendon Simonds (4-0, 3 KO’s) will be competing at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire as part of the Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular. This year, he will be re-matching Schuylerville, New York’s Ian Beatease in a return bout of their highly-competitive fight on Thanksgiving Eve 2019.

Simonds, a former amateur standout, had two pro fights from 2005-2008 and initially returned to the ring in 2018 on Thanksgiving Eve for what he thought was a “one and done” to end his career. However, he returned again on Thanksgiving Eve in 2019 to face Beatease with the hopes of ending his career 4-0, 4 KO’s. However, Beatease had other plans. Simonds won the fight via unanimous decision 39-37 on all three judges’ scorecards, but was not satisfied with his performance. Beatease was not satisfied with the decision. Now, both fighters get a chance at redemption on Thanksgiving Eve 2021 at the Castleton in Windham.

“After I fought Ian the first time, I heard through the grapevine that he felt he deserved the decision and in time, I’ve found that I haven’t had my fill of fighting just yet, so why not give him another crack at me if I’m going to fight again? But I think he’ll regret it. I’ll be a completely different fighter this time around,” said Simonds.

“This is a make of break fight for me,” said Beatease. “I felt like I landed more than him when we fought the first time. This time, I’ll hit him more and harder. If I don’t win, this could be the end of my career. I’ll be hungry for victory on Thanksgiving Eve.”
