CHARITY TOY DRIVE WILL BE PART OF THANKSGIVING EVE WINDHAM BOXING EVENT

Windham, NH  [November 13, 2018] – As part of the festivities at the Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular on Wednesday, November 21st at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire, unwrapped brand new toys will be collected at the door in a charity toy drive to benefit Windham Helping Hands.

“They say Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season,” said Boston Boxing Promotions President Peter Czymbor.  “We figured why not get it started a day early? We encourage any and all ticket holders to bring with them an unwrapped brand new toy that we will collect and then give to the Windham Helping Hands Fund who will distribute to children in need.

“If every person who comes to the show brings one unwrapped toy with them to donate, hundreds of toys should be collected for this drive.”

“Reaching out to our neighbors is something we often say, and the spirit of this toy drive fits that perfectly with that phrase,” said Patti Letizio, Co-President of Windham Helping Hands.  “Thank you for generating smiles that will last throughout the Christmas season!”

The Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular is scheduled to feature eight professional boxing matches. Haverhill, Massachusetts’ Brendon Simonds (2-0, 2 KO’s) will look to keep his undefeated record intact as he steps into the ring for the first time in ten years to take on Vermont’s Andre Belcarris in a welterweight bout. A historic first ever women’s fight in Boston Boxing Promotions history will take place as Revere’s Kimberly Wabik and Springfield’s Liz Humphries face off with one another in a lightweight fight. Portland, Maine’s Jon Webster will look for redemption as he has a rematch with New Jersey’s Tolan Tascoe at middleweight. Also, Billerica native John Ortolani will be in action as he takes on New York states Ian Beatease in a super welterweight match-up.
