THANKSGIVING EVE BOXING BOUT IN WINDHAM COULD HAVE WORLD-RANKINGS IMPLICATIONS

Windham, NH  [November 16, 2018] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced an additional eight-round welterweight fight added to the Thanksgiving Eve boxing show at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center on November 21st in Windham, New Hampshire as undefeated Mykquan Williams (12-0, 7 KO’s) will take on tough veteran Martin Angel Martinez (18-15-1, 11 KO’s).

Williams, a 20 year old native of East Hartford, Connecticut, turned pro just ten days after his 18th birthday, following an outstanding amateur career. He is coming off a shutout unanimous decision over Salem, Massachusetts’ Matt Doherty in an eight-round fight this past summer at Foxwoods. Last spring, he won the WBC United States Silver Super Lightweight title and is on the verge of becoming one of the youngest active boxers to be world rated. He is promoted by DiBella Entertainment.

First, however, he must pass the test of Martin Angel Hernandez.

Hernandez is a native of Mexico and as battle tested as they come, having shared the ring with former world champions Lucas Matthysee, Mike Alvarado and Marcos Maidana amongst others. His most recent victory came in October of last year winning a unanimous decision over Adrian Reyes (11-9) in his home country of Mexico.
