DePaolis to Meet Stengel in Light Heavyweight War

Windham, NH [March 2, 2022] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a four-round light heavyweight fight for Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire as Watertown, Massachusetts’ Rico DePaolis takes on Winchendon, Massachusetts’ Stephen Stengel.

DePaolis’ most recent appearance inside the ring was last summer in Windham where he participated in a bout which received honorable mention for Boston Boxing Promotions “Fight of the Year” against Stephen “Clubber” Langlais before a sold out crowd at the Castleton.

“I’m excited to get back in the ring and compete in front of my family, friends and teammates. So far, in my early career, I feel as though I’ve improved with each fight, and I’m looking forwarding to an improved performance on the 22nd,” said DePaolis.

“As far as Stengel, he’s got a ton of experience in combat sports, and has competed against two of the better guys in our division in previous Boston Boxing Promotions cards. I’ve got a tremendous amount of respect for him; he’s a seasoned fighter and as tough as they come,” DePaolis said.

Stengel has twice competed for Boston Boxing Promotions in the past. However, he has never competed for the promotion in front of an audience. He made his pro boxing debut amidst the pandemic in empty arena shows live streamed on YouTube at Southpaw Boxing & Fitness in Windham.

“I view this as a true 50/50 fight,” said Stengel. “I respect Rico’s boxing abilities, but intend on pushing him as I’m sure he’ll be pushing me to be at our best inside that ring.”
