Hyannis, Massachusetts [July 20, 2015] – Professional Boxing returns to Cape Cod for the first time in nearly a decade on August 8th at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC). The event will be promoted by Boston Boxing Promotions and tickets are on sale now at www.CapeCodBoxing.com.

In addition to the Northeast Heavyweight Championship fight between Hyannis’ Jesse Barboza (9-1-1, 5 KO’s) and Pennsylvania’s Jesse Oltmanns (10-5, 7 KO’s), the eight-round light heavyweight co-feature between Harwich’s Paul Gonsalves (7-7-1, 3 KO’s) and Mexico’s Rafael Valenzuela (8-5, 1 KO), and the eight-round supporting heavyweight bout between Pembroke’s Vinnie Carita (9-1-1, 9 KO’s) and Francisco Mireles (17-9, 5 KO’s), Boston Boxing Promotions has announced the undercard for the event.

The undercard is designed to be quick paced, action packed fights between boxers willing to take on anyone, anytime, anywhere in competitive match-ups where either guy can win.

In a four-round middleweight contest, Brockton’s Lionel Young – a former regional mixed martial arts champion – will enter the boxing ring for the third time as he takes on New Jersey’s Tolan Tascoe.

In a four-round welterweight fight, Connecticut’s Oscar Diaz will meet New Jersey’s Malik Jackson. Diaz infamously fought former amateur standout Donte Strayhorn to a tough majority decision loss at an event promoted by rapper 50 Cent. Jackson will be fighting for first time outside of Pennsylvania, New York or New Jersey.

The fight card is subject to change without notice.

The August 8, 2015 event will be presented by Boston Boxing Promotions. It will be the first professional boxing event held in Hyannis since 2006. General admission tickets are $40 and are on sale now at www.CapeCodBoxing.com. Fans are urged to purchase tickets early due to limited availability. Additional bouts to be announced in the weeks to come.
