Higgins and Jacobs Promise Action-Packed Fight on Next Windham Boxing Event

Windham, NH [December 9, 2019] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced the first fight for the January 31, 2020 live fight card to be held at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.  Chelmsford, Massachusetts Brandon Higgins (3-0, 2 KO’s) will meet fellow unbeaten intrastate rival Kris Jacobs (1-0-1) of Fall River in a six-round welterweight fight.

Higgins made his pro debut this past May with a unanimous decision win over Philadelphia’s Demetris Williams. He followed up that performance with a KO and TKO respectively in his next two fights against New York’s Ian Beatease and Laquan Lewis.

“I’m excited to fight Kris Jacobs as we’re both undefeated fighters.  We’re both ready to put it all on the line to give the fans plenty of action,” said Higgins.

“I’m excited that this is my first six-round fight, and I think my conditioning and the pace I push will set me apart from Jacobs. I see myself winning by late stoppage, but I’m ready to go all six if need be. There will be plenty of action!”

Jacobs made his mark on Boston Boxing Promotions fans on the very same show Higgins made his pro debut. That night Jacobs earned a hard-fought, upset victory over Haverhill’s then undefeated Harry Gigliotti via majority decision in a fight that left the fans in Windham on their feet roaring throughout.  The upcoming fight with Higgins will mark the first scheduled six-rounder of both boxers’ careers.

“Fighting is strictly business for me at this point in my life, and I know Brandon Higgins is a strong opponent not to be taken for granted,” said Jacobs.  “I look forward to returning to Windham. Last time they boo’d me so loud as I entered the ring that I couldn’t hear any of my people, but were so respectful and cheered and showed love after I won.”

Jacobs graduated from Bristol Community College the day after winning his last fight. He will be beginning studies at UMass Dartmouth shortly following his fight with Higgins majoring in Management Information Systems – Technology and ECommerce. He owns and operates StayReady Boxing & Fitness in Fall River.
