The Battle of Haverhill to Take Place on January 31 Boxing Event

Windham, NH [December 11, 2019] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced the next fight signed for the January 31, 2020 professional boxing card to be held at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.  Haverhill’s Harry “The Hitman” Gigliotti (3-1, 2 KO’s) will take on intra city rival Fernando Perez in a four-round welterweight bout.

Gigliotti, coming off his first ever decision victory in a back-and-forth, crowd-pleasing battle with New York’s Robert Bricks, has won two consecutive fights since suffering his only career setback this past May. He trains with Brendon Simonds and Ray Hebert at Haverhill Downtown Boxing Club and is a former cross country standout at Haverhill High School.

“After finishing my first year as a pro 3-1, I’m looking to keep 2020 moving in a positive direction,” said Gigliotti.  “Fernando Perez is a tough competitor and me and my team will be hard at work in the gym working on ways to break him down on fight night so I can have my hand raised at the end of the night.”

Perez is a hard-nosed, battle-tested veteran who has never shied away from a fight in the ring, cage or otherwise. Between boxing, mixed-martial-arts, and Muay Thai kickboxing, Perez has competed in over 30 professional fights and represents the most experienced opponent Gigliotti has tangled with to date.

“Much respect to Gigliotti as he is going to be a tough challenge. However, I am going to overcome that challenge and defeat him,” said Perez.  “I see myself winning with a stoppage in the third round.”
