Jacobs and Raineri Announced for Main Event of Night 3 of Great American Boxing Bash

Windham, NH [June 22, 2021] – Boston Boxing Promotions has begun to announce fights for Night 3 of “The Great American Boxing Bash” scheduled for Friday, August 6th in Windham, New Hampshire. It will be the third and final event of a three-week residency at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center. In the main event, Fall River, Massachusetts’ Kris Jacobs (3-1-1, 1 KO) will take on Haverhill’s Joshua Raineri (4-0, 2 KO’s) in a six-round junior middleweight fight.

Jacobs, who previously has seen career best wins take place at the Castleton with decisions over Brandon Higgins and Harry Gigliotti, will be moving up a weight class vying for an opportunity to hand the undefeated Raineri his first loss. Having upset two previously undefeated fighters at this venue before, Jacobs is approaching this fight with plenty of confidence.

“This ain’t about Josh. I’m just clocking in on my time card and going to work,” said Jacobs. “I’m excited to feel that energy again and can’t wait for my fans to see me in action.”

For Raineri, the fight with Jacobs will not only represent his first scheduled six-round fight in his career against his most stern opposition, but it will also mark the first time he’s ever fought as a pro in front of a full capacity audience having turned pro during the empty arena era of the pandemic in 2020.

“I love a fight and I love a challenge,” said Raineri. “Kris Jacobs is a good fighter, but I’m not sure he’s been hit by someone with my type of power yet in his career.”
