JOSHUA ORTA WILL BE IN ACTION AT WINDHAM, NH BOXING EVENT
Windham, NH – [December 18, 2018] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that Springfield, Massachusetts’ Joshua Orta will take on Connecticut’s Danny Morales in a four-round super featherweight fight on Friday January 25, 2019 as part of “Friday Night Fights” at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.
Joshua Orta turned pro in 2018, making his debut in August with a brutal beatdown of hometown favorite Edwin Rosado in Worcester, forcing Rosado to quit on his stool in-between rounds. Orta followed up that impressive performance in October with another TKO win over a hometown favorite as he beat Natron McClean in front of his home fans in North Carolina.
“This should be a fun fight,” Orta said. “Boxing is my life and what I think about all day. I’ll someday prepare for a world championship fight the same way I will prepare for this fight – by being focused and training as hard as possible every day. This fight is no different.”
Danny Morales clearly represents the toughest opponent of Orta’s young career. Originally a native of the Bronx, New York, Morales now resides in Greenwich, Connecticut. Prior to turning to traditional boxing, Morales was a two-time United States kickboxing champion and is an instructor at Gracie Sports Jiu-Jitsu operated by the family of the legendary Royce Gracie, the first ever UFC Champion.
“I’m not interested in anything he’s gonna plan to do in this fight,” said the veteran Morales. “I don’t watch or follow him. All I know is that I got a date with a dude that’s gonna try to knock me out, and I will definitely come prepared to fight”
