Light Heavyweight Prospect Tinker Returns to the Ring at the Great American Boxing Bash
Windham, NH [June 14, 2021] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that undefeated light heavyweight Matthew Tinker (6-0, 5 KO’s) will return to the ring on Friday, July 30th at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire to take on Utica, New York’s Michael Rycraft (4-1-1, 3 KO’s) in a featured six-round fight as part of Night 2 of the Great American Boxing Bash.
Tinker, now residing in New York City and originally hailing from Scarborough, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, was an experienced amateur in the UK, Ireland and New York City boxing circuits before going pro in 2019. He competed on four out of five Boston Boxing Promotions cards during the pandemic – three empty arena shows that were livestreamed on YouTube and one limited audience event last November. This fight with Rycraft will mark his first Boston Boxing Promotions appearance in front of a full capacity crowd. Earlier this year he scored a first round technical knockout over the previously undefeated Stephen Langlais.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in there, especially in front of a full crowd,” said Tinker. “Now that things are getting back to normal I’m looking to move fast, and Rycraft is in my way. I’m looking forward to a good fight.”
Rycraft, a former amateur standout himself who had advanced as far as the quarter finals on the national Golden Gloves in the United States, is an intimidating physical presence at 6’4.” Well-traveled, New Hampshire will mark the seventh state Rycraft has fought in in his first seven fights as a professional.
“I’m expecting a good fight, but Tinker better not be sleeping on me as an opponent,” said Rycraft.
Boston Boxing Promotions takes up residency this summer at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center in Windham, NH for three weeks where it will present the first-ever Great American Boxing Bash on Friday, July 23, Friday, July 30, and Friday, August 6.
