Paulino to Take Major Step in Boxing Career at Fall Brawl

Windham, NH [August 24, 2021] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a major step-up for for undefeated lightweight prospect Alejandro Paulino (3-0, 3 KO’s) as he takes on Rochester, New York’s Darnell Jiles (9-6-2, 3 KO’s) in a six-round fight on Friday, September 24th at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire as part of “Fall Brawl.”

Paulino, who just turned pro in May, has racked up three quick wins to begin his pro career, most recently scoring two first round knockouts in back-to-back weeks this past July at the Castleton in Windham. His quick movement as a pro followed a distinguished amateur career which saw Paulino make it to the semi-finals at the 2019 national Golden Gloves.

“He’s tough and has a lot of experience,” said Paulino about Jiles. “But I feel good about this fight and feel good about being scheduled for six rounds, though I don’t think it’ll go the distance. But if it does, I just see myself getting stronger as it goes and I see myself coming out on top.”

Jiles will represent Paulino’s most stern test as a professional fighter thus far with a resume that includes amateur victories over world champions Terence Crawford and Mikey Garcia as well as one of the most entertaining fights to ever take place on ESPN’s “Friday Night Fights” series in a knockdown-trading war with “Hammerin” Hank Lundy that ended in a draw. This hard-nosed veteran will also be the first southpaw Paulino has faced as a pro.

“I am coming into this fight with a vengeance,” said a determined Jiles. “He’s never fought the caliber of fighters I have and I am ready to go to war. That kid’s 0 is about to go. Be ready, cause we workin’!”
