Perkins Faces Toughest Test to Date in Argentinian Veteran
Windham, NH (January 10, 2023) – Boston Boxing Promotions 2022 “Fighter of the Year” James Perkins (9-0-1, 6 KO’s) will make his next appearance inside the ring on Friday, January 27 at the Castleton in Windham, New Hampshire as he takes on Buenos Aires, Argentina’s Pablo Oliveto (13-11-1, 4 KO’s) in a six-round super middleweight fight.
Perkins, by defeating Aaron Trecell in his most recent bout in November via unanimous decision and avenging a prior draw, now has the distinction of defeating every man he has ever stepped in the ring with.
“I’m looking forward to this fight because he is the most experienced fighter I have faced so far,” said Perkins. “I’ve been working a lot more on putting fast hard combinations together in camp and am hoping that that work shows itself under the lights on fight night.”
Perkins went 4-0, 2 KO’s in his 2022 campaign. Aside from the unanimous decision over Aaron Trecell, Perkins also earned a decision win over Stephen Langlais in a career-best win last April.
Oliveto not only represents Perkins most experienced opponent to date, but an opponent who has fought considerably better opposition than many of Perkins foes. Oliveto’s opposition in his career sport a combined record of 164 wins, 114 losses and 29 draws.
Doors will open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm on January 27 at the Castleton. Tickets are on sale now at www.BoxingNH.com.
