Former World Heavyweight Title Challenger Announced for Boxing Card

We are thrilled to announce that former heavyweight world title challenger Otto Wallin (24-1, 14 KO’s) will meet Helaman Olguin (9-4-1, 4 KO’s) in an eight-round heavyweight fight on Friday, January 27 at the Castleton in Windham! This is a world-class fight that no true boxing fan will want to miss. It is a rare treat to have a fight of this magnitude on a regional card.

Doors will open at 6 pm with first fight taking place at 7 pm on January 27 at the Castleton. Tickets are on sale now at www.BoxingNH.com. The event will also stream live on a pay-per-view basis at www.CombatSportsNow.com.

Wallin lost a competitive unanimous decision to heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KO’s) while challenging for the lineal heavyweight championship of the world in 2019. That was Wallin’s lone defeat. You can re-live that fight here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzXa9IqQ_DE. He is currently riding a four-fight winning streak.

A victory in New Hampshire against Olguin could potentially lead to more mega fights with the heavyweight elite including Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KO’s), Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KO’s), Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KO’s) and more. Wallin is currently world ranked by the WBO at #3, by the WBC at #9, and by the IBF at #12. He will be the highest ranked fighter to ever compete in our ring.

Wallin is trained by New England boxing legend and former world champion Joey Gamache (55-4, 38 KO’s) of Lewiston, Maine who will be in his corner on January 27.

Wallin’s opponent Olguin is coming off an exciting draw against the undefeated Rodney Hines (12-0-1) in his last outing. In 2020, he earned national acclaim by defeating the previously undefeated Adam Stewart (8-0-1 entering that bout) in a nationally televised fight from Las Vegas on ESPN in the pandemic era “Top Rank bubble” at MGM Casino.

We hope to see you at the Castleton on Friday the 27th for one of the biggest fights in our history and in the history of New Hampshire boxing. The world will be watching this one!
