Battle of the Brandons to Headline April 21 Boxing Card
Windham, NH (February 20, 2023) – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a ten-round main event for its tenth anniversary show Friday April 21, 2023, at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire as Chelmsford, Massachusetts’ Brandon Higgins (9-3, 5 KO’s) takes on West Forks, Maine’s Brandon Berry (25-6-2, 18 KO’s) in a welterweight fight. Tickets are on sale now at www.BoxingNH.com.

Higgins and Berry are two of New England’s most popular fighters each with their own set of credentials they bring to this matchup.

Higgins has participated in the Boston Boxing Promotions “Fight of the Year” for the past two consecutive years including his 2022 all-out war of a rematch with Fall River’s Dustin Reinhold (7-6, 3 KO’s) which he won via unanimous decision. As an amateur, Higgins was a three-time New England Golden Gloves Champion.

Now against Berry, Higgins will be in his most high stakes fight as a professional just about a month shy of his four-year anniversary of turning pro.

“Brandon Berry is a tough, scrappy, inside fighter and so am I, so I anticipate non-stop action in this fight,” said Higgins.

Brandon Berry is the most popular boxer to come out of the state of Maine since Joey Gamache held multiple world championships in the 90’s. He enters this fight on a three-fight, three-knockout winning streak including a career best sixth round TKO over the previously undefeated Juan Manuel Witt (33-1-2, 25 KO’s). Whereas Higgins is competing a month shy of his four-year anniversary of becoming a pro boxer, Berry will be fighting a few weeks shy of his ten-year anniversary of turning pro.

“Brandon Higgins is a fighter that I am a fan of. I love the energy his fan base brings,” said Berry. “I root for him in all of his fights and I have always felt he and I would be a crowd-pleasing type of fight that doesn’t really need a referee. I don’t think anybody has seen the best of either of us, and our styles might be the perfect ingredients to bring out what we both are made of.”
