Rematch of Women’s Fight Announced for June 5 Boxing Event in Windham, NH

Windham, NH [March 11, 2020] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced the second fight for its “Primetime Boxing” event on Friday June 5, 2020, at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire.  Revere, Massachusetts’ undefeated Kimberly “The Machine” Wabik (4-0-2) is scheduled to take on on Bedford, Virginia’s Britain Hart (3-4-3, 2 KO’s) in a six-round junior lightweight re-match.

Wabik and Hart first met in January of last year fighting to a draw in a four-round fight. Now, they’ll meet once again 17 months later with an extra two rounds to work with.

“I’m looking forward to my first six-round fight and feel blessed to keep moving forward in my boxing career,” said Wabik.  “Britain Hart has been active, sharpening her skills since the last time we fought. I look forward to meeting her again June 5th.”

Since they last met, Wabik has won four consecutive fights against Crystal Byers, Fernanda Arajou, Jacqueline Boyle, and Dasha Ragland, respectively. In 16 rounds of boxing, she’s only lost two rounds on two individual judges’ scorecards through that run of fights.

Britain Hart has traveled all over the country since her last fight against Wabik, competing in North Carolina, Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, and Texas, going 1-1-2 in that stretch. In each of those four fights, Hart had at least one judge turn in an even scorecard, proving that she’s competitive with any female fighter in the country.

“I underestimated Kim the first time we fought,” said Hart. “That was a huge mistake. She’s tough as nails. I remember hitting her with everything I had and she was still coming forward.”

“I’m here to redeem myself in this fight. I have a different game plan this time around and a plan B with two extra rounds to work with. Kim’s the toughest girl I’ve ever fought thus far, but I know I can rise to the challenge and this will be the first of many redemption victories for myself.”
