Tejada to Take on Langston in First Massachusetts Pro Bout

Melrose, MA (July 27, 2022) – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that Haverhill, Massachusetts’ Nicolas Tejada (1-0, 1 KO) will meet Portland, Maine’s Carl Langston (Pro Boxing Debut) in a four-round welterweight fight on Saturday, August 13th at Melrose Memorial Hall in Melrose, Massachusetts.

Doors are scheduled to open at 5 pm on August 13th with first fight taking place at 6 pm. Tickets for the event are on sale now at www.BostonBoxingPromotions.com/Tickets/.

Tejada made his pro debut in June with a second round TKO over Syracuse, New York’s Mike Taylor in Verona, NY as part of the festivities for International Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Weekend.

This fight against Langston will represent his home state debut as a professional.

“If this guy wants a war, I’ll make sure blood is shed,” said Tejada.  “This is the stuff I used to dream about when I was a kid being able to fight so close to home. Melrose is gonna be rockin’ come August 13th.”

Carl Langston is a battle-tested combat sports athlete best known for his exploits in the New England MMA and kickboxing scenes. His most recent bouts were a unanimous decision win over Zenon Herrera in Maine in May and a first-round stoppage win over Zac Richard in February.

“I’ve wanted to turn pro in boxing for years and now is my chance,” said Langston.  “My opponent is going to feel pressure like he’s never felt before and any hopes and dreams he has in his boxing career I will put a halt to on August 13th.”
