Heavyweight War Scheduled for Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular

Windham, NH [October 19, 2021] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that heavyweight “Lethal” Jonathan Gruber (2-0, 1 KO) will return to the ring on Thanksgiving Eve, November 24th at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire to take on the pro debuting RJ Hayes in a four-round heavyweight fight.

Gruber, who made his pro debut in late 2020 with a unanimous decision win over Philadelphia’s Corey Morley, has fought just once this calendar year scoring a first round technical knockout over Francisco Neto back in March. He was scheduled to fight earlier this year, however had to stay out of the ring due to a bicep injury.

“I’m excited to be back as this is what I love to do,” said Gruber. “Fans should be ready for fireworks for as long as it lasts. I’m aiming for a first round knockout.”

RJ Hayes is a veteran combat sports athlete from New York state with experience in mixed martial arts and Muay Thai kickboxing. 2-1, with 2 KO’s in kickboxing, Hayes calls going pro in proper boxing his destiny.

“This is a childhood dream coming true,” said Hayes. “Tell Gruber this is going to be a war!”
