New Bedford, Massachusetts [October 20, 2016] – Boston Boxing Promotions has added a six-round heavyweight fight to the November 12th boxing event at New Bedford High School featuring New Bedford’s own Chris Boykins taking on Pennsylvania’s Jesse Oltmanns.

Boykins, who prepares for his fights at All Out Fitness in New Bedford, has been training alongside Briam Granado who will be featured that night in the main event against Maine’s Zenon Herrera. This will be Boykins’ first fight in New Bedford in a nearly decade long boxing career.

“I am ‘The Arch Bishop,'” said Boykins, “I represent the Cross. Where there is a will there is a way.”

Oltmanns is a 16 year veteran of the boxing ring as a professional who has fought everyone boxing has to offer including current WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and former cruiserweight world title challenger Matt Godfrey of Providence.

“I look forward to being back in Massachsetts”, said Oltmanns, who has fought his past three fights in New England, “I know that Boykins wants this win as bad as I do in front of what I’m expecting to be a raucous crowd and I look forward to a good fight.”
