New Bedford, Massachusetts [October 14, 2016] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced a major fight for the November 12th boxing event at New Bedford High School in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Pembroke’s Vinnie Carita (14-1-1, 13 KO’s) will take on the most dangerous and experienced opponent of his career when he meets Budapest, Hungary’s Laszlo Hubert (47-19-1, 32 KO’s) in a 12-round cruiserweight special attraction.

Carita, who during the week works as a court officer with the Massachusetts’ Trial Court at the Brockton district courthouse, has been steadily increasing his level of opposition the past two years and feel this is the fight that can take him to the next level.

“This is a fight I really want”, Said Carita, “Taking on a fighter of his caliber and experience makes the stakes higher. A win means I’m one step closer to a shot at one of the major world titles and that’s what I’m aiming towards.”

It will be almost one year since Carita fought in his home state on Massachusetts. Thus far in 2016 he has fought in Maine, Indiana and Iowa.

It will be a long way from home on November 12th for Laszlo Hubert. This fight will mark the Hungarian’s first ever fight in the United States. However, he’s no stranger to fighting on the road. In his career, he’s fought as far away as Albania, Russia, Mexico, Slovakia, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.

Hubert is a five time WBC regional cruiserweight title challenger. He is the former cruiserweight champion of Hungary and is currently riding a 3 fight winning streak.
