Second Women’s Fight Announced for January 31 Boxing Event in Windham, NH

Windham, NH [December 30, 2019] – Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that Everett, Massachusetts’ female fighter Shayna Foppiano (2-0-1, 1 KO) will be fighting Ohio’s Crystal Byers on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the Castleton Banquet and Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire in a four-round junior welterweight fight.

Foppiano made her pro debut in 2017 with a first-round TKO in Boston. She fought once in 2018 and 2019 respectively under the umbrella of Jimmy Burchfield’s CES Boxing in Lincoln, Rhode Island with eye-catching “fight of the night” performances against Marine boxer Sarah Click and world-class Muay Thai fighter Kel Santos. She is trained by Joe Lake who has notably worked with contenders such as Dana Rosenblatt, Micky Ward and popular undefeated Lynnfield fighter Dominic Monzione.

“I know Crystal Byers is a tough girl with a lot of power, but I know what we’ve been working on in the gym and I look forward to displaying it against her on January 31^st,” said Foppiano.

Crystal Byers will be making her return to New Hampshire after losing a hard-fought decision to Kimberly “The Machine” Wabik earlier this year in Windham. She is an experienced mixed martial artist and kickboxer outside of the confines of traditional boxing. She is also a competitive bodybuilder.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to New Hampshire, and I am preparing to knock Shayna Foppiano out, so the judges won’t be needed,” said Byers.
